Creating an Email Account in DirectAdmin Panel:
Please follow the below steps to Create an Email Account in DirectAdmin Panel:
- Open your web browser and enter your DirectAdmin URL in the address bar. This will typically be in the format of http://yourdomain.com:2222, where "yourdomain.com" is your website domain name. You can check with your web hosting provider if you are unsure of the exact URL.
- Log in to your DirectAdmin account using your username and password.
- Once you are logged in, you will be redirected to the DirectAdmin dashboard. Look for the "Email Manager" section and click "Email Accounts."
- On the "Email Accounts" page, click on the "Create Mail Account" button.
- In the "Create Mail Account" form, enter the email address you want to create (before the "@" symbol) in the "Email" field.
- Choose the domain name from the "Domain" drop-down list.
- Enter a strong password for your email account in the "Password" field. Ensure your password is strong and difficult to guess to ensure the security of your email account.
- You can choose the mailbox quota (i.e., the amount of storage space you want to allocate for this email account) by selecting the desired value from the "Quota" drop-down list. The default value is usually 250MB, but you can adjust this based on your needs.
- Once you have entered all the necessary details, click the "Create" button.
- Your email account will be created and listed on the "Email Accounts" page. You can manage your email account from this page, including changing the password, deleting the account, and modifying the mailbox quota.
To configure the email account in an email client, you will need to access the email client's settings and enter the incoming and outgoing server details and your email account credentials. You can find the incoming and outgoing server details in your DirectAdmin account under "Email Accounts" or by contacting your web hosting provider.
