Website Migration Process
All of Hosteza's hosting plans come with a free migration service. This means we can move your site with little or no downtime. All we need from you are the login details for your old hosting account so that we can access your files and database (s). To start the process, you must first open a support ticket and tell us which site you want to move and how we can access it on your old host. Migrations can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days, depending on how complicated the site is and how quickly we can move everything. Through the support ticket system, we'll keep you updated on how the move is going. By updating your hosts file, you'll also be able to test the site before switching the nameservers.
Some migrations are easier than others. If you are with another provider that uses cPanel, we can move all of your site files, databases, emails, and everything else under your existing account in one move. We'd make a full cPanel backup file and then import it to your hosting with us. This would overwrite any files you've already uploaded with us with files from your old hosting.
For this, we'll need the cPanel login information for your current hosts. It's also important that your host lets you make your own cPanel account backups (unfortunately, some hosts disable this). If you have any questions about this, please let us know ahead of time so we can ensure the full backup can be successfully made.
If your provider doesn't use cPanel, we'll manually copy your site files using FTP (or SSH, if available) and download a copy of your database (s). We can't move email accounts from a provider that doesn't use cPanel yet, but you can set them up again in your cPanel once the migration is done.
Once the move is done, you'll need to change the domain's nameservers, so they point to:

Once the nameservers are updated, this will point your domain name to the newly migrated website at Hosteza.
